Amritsar Eye Clinic take one more step forward to reach every organized and unorganized sector so a free eye check up camp was organized at Indian Institute of Petroleum dehradun on 07 June 2017. Over 100 employees underwent the screening, out which few were found diabetic, hypo tension, history  and referred to the hospital for further evaluation.

01^ST JUNE 2017 Amritsar Eye clinic is  continue growing with its CSR activities and organized a free eye check up camp at Ordnance factory Raipur dehradun. Around 200 plus employees of OFD had done screening and given necessary ophthalmic advice.

 

Amritsar Eye Clinic is committed to eradicate blindness from the society. In continuation with this segment a brief was given by Dr. Devesh Sharma (Cornea, Refractive & Phaco Surgeon) about the corneal blindness can arise by corneal injury, spot at cornea, any infection at eye and any genetic disease. He brief about various corneal transplant procedures. People ware made aware for eye donation too. Dr Deepesh Sharma (Vitreo-Retina Surgeon) talked about various retinal diseases in old age. Specially focus on Diabetic Retinopathy. He emphasize on periodic eye examination. A Glaucoma awareness talk was given by Dr. Nishtha Singh (Glaucoma specialist) on every individual at risk of glaucoma Hence advised screening above the age of “40” years specially women. To conclude Dr. Vishal Sharma (Oculoplasty, Orbit & Ocular Oncology Specialist) discussed up on various causes of watering eye and briefly touched up on eye cancer. The entire session was overwhelmingly appreciated by the senior citizens.

People were sensitized about complete eye examination under super specialized ophthalmic care.

Amritsar Eye Clinic marked its 30 Golden years of serving the society in the field of Eye Care on this 21st of March 2017.  The occasion was celebrated on the 8th of March at Four Points by Sheraton, Dehradun.

The celebrations were graced by Shri Yashpal Arya who had humbly consented to be the Chief Guest, and by Shri Umesh Sharma Kau, who was the Guest of Honour for the occasion. Justice B C Kandpal and Shri G R Joshi had spared time from their busy schedules to be part of the celebrations.
We are proud that the event was attended by various doctors, eye specialists, patients etc. More than 300 guests witnessed the inauguration of “Shri Dwarka Dutt Sharma Charitable Trust.”, an initiative by Amritsar Eye Clinic.

The trust would help in providing eye-care to the low income group strata of the society, aid in medical education, and facilitate research in the field of ophthalmology. With that, we would like to thank all our dear patients who have entrusted us all these years for their eye care .There are several initiatives in line in the coming years that would surely revolutionise the eye care treatments.
