A special eye check-up was organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti for the girls and women residents of Akhil Bhartiye Mahila Ashram, Dehradun.

This was an annual eye checkup for the school-going girls and senior women residents of the old age for an annual eye checkup and to educate young girls on how to take care of their eyes, especially during study time.

Approx. 67 participants were screened out in the camp, few students were facing issues with prescribed glasses for power change and some were having vision issues while reading, whereas two senior residents were ruled out for cataracts, who will be further treated at Amritsar Eye Clinic with all modern amenities.

Team Amritsar Eye Clinic, under the aegis of Shri Dwarka Dutt Sharma Charitable Trust, regularly organizes free eye screening camps for the underprivileged and marginalized people of the society throughout the year, from awareness activities to free eye screening camps.
